Big Daddy Dipstick and the Lube Jobs

Clearview
Clearview was the first group I put together after moving to San Luis Obispo. Sally Vedder, the bassist and vocalist for the bluegrass group, Better Late Than Never and I had met in Grass Valley for the Father's Day Bluegrass Festival in 2004. When I told her I was moving to SLO, she asked me to get in touch to play some music together. I did and we jammed a few times. She continued to play with BLTN too. I put an ad on Craigslist for someone to play music with and a guy responded. He played guitar and mandolin and sang. We jammed and got a few songs together. Before long we had a full set. Someone heard about us we were hired for a private party. Awhile later we got a gig at a small venue in Atascadero but after a few months, the guy left but Sally and I stayed friends and eventually formed SLO Pokes together.
